Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are looking for exceptional Embedded Firmware Engineer candidates excited to work on leading edge technology that directly improves people’s quality of life and help the environment as well.

You will own all aspects of the embedded software system including architecture, implementation, testing, and production. Our system is battery-powered and wireless with two different radios – BLE and sub-giga Hertz long-range radio using a
proprietary protocol. The system is, by definition, heavily duty cycled to conserve energy with the goal of providing long battery life.

Your Responsibilities

• Reach technical goals, propose solutions and validate those solutions by testing code in the target systems
• Create well architected and designed firmware that is understandable, well documented and effectively tested

• Interface with low level system components including sensors, power control, Bluetooth radio, sub-Gig radio
• Debug and fix software issues in embedded systems
• Achieve schedule commitments by creating plans that meet them and taking the initiative to identify and address impediments

Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing embedded microcontroller applications with wireless components
• 5+ years of experience with C, C++
• Experience with ARM tools for compilation and debugging (Cortex M4 preferred) • Deep experience with low power embedded systems (preferably battery powered)

• Knowledge of communications protocols such as I2C, SPI and UARTs
• Experience working directly with microcontroller elements such as ADCs, timers, PWMs, GPIO
• Experience using development tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, signal generators, power supplies and embedded electronics • Experience with ZigBee, Z-Wave or equivalent wireless protocol standards
• Experience with Silicon Labs Gecko-series of processors desirable

Experience

We are looking for a self-motivated engineer with a 7+ years or more years of experience in a fast-paced environment. A degree as Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Engineering is a must as well as excellent spoken and written English.

Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Operator/Programmer

Full Time, Permanent Position

Required Qualifications:

 – College degree in Electronics Engineering/Manufacturing

– Minimum of one year experience as AOI operator/programmer

– Good English skills (comprehension, written & spoken)

– Must be computer literate, have experience on CAD and Microsoft Operating Systems

Required Capabilities:

– Excellent working knowledge of IPC-A-610

– Good knowledge of ESD and WHMIS standards

– Capable of reading and interpreting all Gerber Files, schematic drawings, and Engineering specs

– Ability to test, plan, troubleshoot, and support all functions associated with the AOI equipment

– Must have working knowledge of inspection/measuring equipment such as, but not limited to the Micrometer, Vernier/Caliper, and Multi-meter

– Must have experience using a microscope

– Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Work, and Power Point

– Ability to maintain a clean appearance and work station

– Ability to work with others in a high paced environment

– Be flexible with working hours as evening hours and week-end hours are required from time to time

 

Mechanical or Electronics Engineer

The Role:

Expertise in design and deployment of safety critical electronics control and monitoring systems in hazardous environments.

Permanent
full time position starting annual salary of $120K. Our work location will be at Richmond Hill Ontario.

Duties:
– Responsible for system design of monitoring systems for fuel tanks, and piping systems.

– Capture and document customer requirements.

– Collaborate with test labs to acquire certification for MIS embedded systems for deployment in hazardous environments

– Will work in a multi-disciplinary team and guide MIS development team to design in compliance with safety standards in oil and gas industry.

– The candidate shall be able to take ownership of the project in a course of 2 years and will be in charge of the product maintenance once the product is deployed.

Required experience and skills:
– Master’s degree in one of the above disciplines with at least 10 years of hands on
experience in the related fields.

– Excellent knowledge of safety standards such as:
CSA-C22.2 No. 157-92 (R2012)
UL 913:2013
CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1-12/UL 61010-1:2012

– Expert knowledge of fluid mechanics and real time safety critical embedded
systems is a must.

– Shall be capable to grasp and implement complex mathematical models. Past experience with Matlab, NuMega or Maple would be a plus.

Information Systems’ Manager

We are looking for Tech-savvy candidates with a passion for innovation and driving organizational success through technology.  We are seeking a dynamic computer Information Systems’ Manager to spearhead our digital initiatives and lead our talented team into the future.

Your Responsibilities

Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating information systems.

Establishing and implementing policies and procedures for information systems.

Developing and implementing policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems development and operations.

Oversee the design and implementation, and administration of the backup and disaster recovery system ad procedures.

Meeting with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.

Controlling the budget and expenditures of the department or project.

Recruiting, training, and supervising computer analysts, engineers, programmers, and technicians.

Assigning and coordinating projects and programs to meet the timelines.

 

Skills and Qualifications

2+ years of experience developing Information Systems, management of projects and teams. Management and leadership experience is a must.

2+ years of experience in areas such as Systems analysis, Data administration, Software engineering, Network design, or Computer programming.

Bachelor’s, or master’s degree in such fields as Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, or Engineering.

Fluency in English is essential and in Farsi will be an asset.

Highly skilled in analytical problem solving, and communication skills.

A flexible thinker who can pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges.

SMT Process Engineer

Full Time, Permanent Position, Immediate opening

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s or College degree in Industrial or Electrical Engineering Technologist Program

– Excellent English skills (comprehension, written & spoken)

– Minimum two years experience in a fast paced Electronics Manufacturing Firm in this position

– Excellent knowledge of electronic tooling, equipment, component packages, raw materials such as different solder pastes and suppliers

– Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IPC 610, and WHMIS

– Strong ability for communication especially internally with engineers, technicians, purchasers and management

– Ability to be flexible with work hours, working weekends and evenings from time to time

Required Capabilities:

Capable of defining SMT Process and upgrading when necessary
Ability to recognize process abnormalities, make corrections, and decrease rejection rates

Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Maintenance Technician

Full Time, Permanent Position, Immediate opening

Required Qualifications:

– Minimum High school Diploma, ideally college degree in Electronics Eng. Or Manufacturing

– Good English skills (comprehension, written & spoken)

– Minimum three years of SMT equipment maintenance experience

– Strong knowledge of Solder Paste Printing and Solder Reflow Processes

– Solid experience and knowledge of maintaining Universal equipment, DEK, Reflow ovens and SPI machines

– Proficient in the use of Electrical and Electronics Measurement equipment

– Ability to analyze and interpret information from Gerbers, Schematics, BOMs, and drawings

– Quality conscious, well organized, and reliable

– Ability to work both independently and as a team member

– Must demonstrate ability to work safely and in an organized manner

Required Capabilities:

– Ability to execute corrective and preventive actions using the established methodologies and procedures

– Report Lost Time Incidents, root cause analysis and corrective action

– Ability to assist in SMT line change overs and track equipment performance levels

– Ability to establish and manage preventive and corrective maintenance program

– Ability to train operators on daily and weekly machine/equipment maintenance procedures

– Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610 standards, ESD and WHMIS

– Ability to be flexible with work hours, working weekends and evenings from time to time

 

 

 

Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Technician/Operator

 Required Qualifications:

 – Minimum High school Diploma, ideally college degree in Electronics Eng. Or Manufacturing

– Minimum one year of production/SMT equipment experience prefer JUKI and Mydata machines

– Good English skills (comprehension, written & spoken)

– Ability to analyze and interpret information from Gerbers, Schematics, BOMs, and drawings

– Quality conscious, well organized, and reliable

Required Capabilities:

 – Must demonstrate good knowledge of electronic components, assembly process, and SMT equipment

– Must demonstrate the ability to listen to instruction, read schematics and follow through with what is heard and read

– Must show a respect for supervisors, place of work
